  • Official partnership with leading eSports provider
  • Four locations, as closely as possible to the reality with full-motion simulators
  • The new Nürburgring Endurance Series (NES) is not only pushing ahead on the racetrack, for example with the first four-hour race at NES.02 this weekend (3/4 May) at the Nürburgring, but also digitally. Nürburgring eSports, one of the leading providers in the field of virtual racing simulations, has been secured as an Official Partner for the series. “Connections between virtual and real racing are becoming ever more numerous. For racing drivers, simulator work is an integral part of their preparations and, conversely, more and more participants are making the step from sim racing to real racing. That’s why the co-operation with the Nürburgring Endurance Series is an obvious choice for us,” says Florian Geisler, Managing Director and CEO of Nürburgring eSports GmbH. Since the company was founded five years ago, four Nürburgring eSports bars have now been realised, where visitors can experience the fascination of the legendary race track in a digital way. In addition to the location directly at the Nürburgring, with a view of the real track, there are locations in Koblenz and two Nürburgring eSports bars in Switzerland, in Zurich (Opfikon) and in Roche near Lake Geneva. “Of course, a realistic experience is the be-all and end-all,” Geisler explains. “We leave nothing to be desired in this respect. We have full-motion simulators – you can’t get any closer to reality.”
  • Digital plans around NES

While the Nürburgring eSports logo is already appearing in several places as a result of the partnership, there are also plenty of digital plans for the future centred around the NES. “We have lots of ideas,” Geisler says. “For example, we want to establish Warm-up and After Race parties prior to and after the NES races, we are also planning to be present in the paddock with simulators at selected races and we have a concept for a cross-border Hot Lap Challenge in which participation is possible not only at the Nürburgring, but also at our other locations. I can’t say yet when we will be realising all of this, because we have many other activities, but we definitely also have cool plans for the NES.”
